The hospital just got bought out by Prime during my contract which meant a lot of changes. The flow is super weird here: the nurses in higher acuity hallway are 1:4, the nurses with psych + non-psych patients are 1:6, the fast track area which is usually all stable esi 3s are 1:9. The charge nurses have BIG personalities. Most of the staff is friendly and welcoming to travelers which make up over 50% of the staffing here. Half the doctors are incredible and the other half are just rude and condescending. Lunches are done by team breaking which is pretty hard when you're caring for sick patients or 9 patients and they won't sign off no lunch. One of the charges said, "You're all adults, you can figure out how to get a lunch break." Was this a bad assignment? No. Was this a good assignment? Also, no.
