This is the busiest ER out of the seven ERs I have worked in. It’s an ass kicking every day. Most of the staff is great and the doctors are all friendly and work together with the team. It’s high acuity, but high stress. Either you have a good amount of staff and a few floats or you have the bare minimum and are by yourself and drowning the whole day. The saving grace here is the staff. I don’t think many of us would still be in this department if it weren’t for what a great community they have. The EMS system is also run well and they have a good working relationship with most of them.
