Very nice new facility. Part urgent care, part ED. Initially staff felt standoffish but then warmed up and I think that’s typical of an assignment. After they got to know me they became rather friendly. Some of the staff believe travelers should get the harder assignments or be placed in triage all the time because “they’re paid more.” The lead manager isn’t very approachable but the 2 under her were great. Doctors for the most part are approachable but there are a couple who seem to think less of nurses. Scheduling was kind of given to me but the scheduler was also willing to help you out if made sense staffing wise. Ratios are phenomenal and if you get a trauma you go 1:1. They serve a very rural area and do get a decent amount of peds patients who are usually very ill due to the Amish community. There is a float/break nurse on most days, and they really want you to take a lunch. If you want overtime- this isn’t the place for you. They will also flex people home or call people off. They use epic and Omnicell. I didn’t like though, that the meds did not automatically cross over to the omnicell. You literally pull EVERYTHING on override which is very dangerous especially if you don’t scan your meds like you should. Honestly, I would go back. There are more pros than cons.
