| This was my favorite travel contract - I only left to pursue other endeavors but would return in a heartbeat. Being the only Level 1 trauma center in the Northern Colorado region, you do get to see some sick patients, with safe ratios. Charge nurses almost never had an assignment and wouldn’t hesitate to jump in if needed. Any issues that arouse were treated promptly, with assignment changes or sitter usage. There were times I had the sickest patient on the unit or a device (which was a plus for me) and hardly ever got a terrible assignment. Staff treated me as their own and I made wonderful connections. A few staff members had the typical Type A, “know it all” mentality but most others were helpful and receptive. Providers were helpful and patients were wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough! |
