Day shift gets a little crazy but nights is great. Awesome, welcoming staff. Management schedules for you but always accommodated my requests and would move things around if able. Doctors are present and involved and very nice. Rural unit, so some emergencies can feel stressful. Just have to remember the patients know this and the staff is used to it! Nothing too high risk here - they ship those patients out if able. Usually 2-3 nurses on per shift. Sometimes requested to sit or float to med surge but I never had to. Some med surge nurses come to take postpartum patients if needed. LDRP model with 8 rooms total and 1 OR. Would travel here again!
