When taking this contract, I was informed that the techs drew blood and obtained vitals. You can expect to have 6 very heavy patients, draw all labs because none of the techs are able to. Nurses do all vitals if the techs have more than 10 patients, which is all the time. The ortho building/floor has 46 beds, and they routinely have 1 or 2 techs for the entire floor. If you need the house supervisor, security, or are calling for a rapid response, everyone has to come from across the street, so it takes them several minutes to get there. Management does not support staff. Most night shift nurses there are travelers.
