For upstate NY this place is pretty cush. Yes you have 6 pts but because the residents are doing all the orders, it often can take 3 hours before they even see the pt so your rooms are rarely turning over quickly. I got a lunch every single day of my 6 months there. Staff is catty but as long as you lay low, everyone is friendly. I was resource or lunch nurse most days which also meant that I got to go to codes, strokes, etc. The nice thing is that if you get a high acuity pt in one of the trauma bays, the resource nurse takes that pt until they are settled usually. Acuity here can be high but with the resources available, it never felt overwhelming.
